Molly Roberts is an award winning visuals editor, independent curator and documentarian.
With 25 years in the magazine and book publishing world she has contributed to the content and creativity
of many award winning publications including The Washington Post Magazine,
USA Weekend ,Smithsonian Magazine and National Geographic Magazine. Special Projects have included
books ; Picture This by Tipper Gore; Gods, Gold and Grandeur by Paul Henry Walker;
and The Outdoor America series by National Geographic books.
Roberts has had the honor to be a juror for many prestigious contests;
POYi (Pictures of the Year, International), Best of Photojournalism , Social Documentary Network, Lens Culture,
Santa Fe Review, American Photography Annual and the ASME National Magazine Awards.
She has also participated in panels discussions and presentations about the current state of the photographic
medium and the future of publishing at Ohio University School of Visual Communication, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting , The Corcoran,
Texas State University , PhotoNola, Northern Short Course and others.
She has been an invited reviewer for Santa Fe Review, PhotoNOLA, Medium Photo Festival, The New York Times Review,
Texas Photo RoundUp, Palm Springs Photo Festival, Eddie Adams Workshop and Women Photojournalists of Washington.
Roberts recently created a non-profit organization with the dual goal of focusing attention on human rights issues in America
and creating new audiences for important non-fiction photography projects on these subjects.
